What is BMI and why does it matter?
Body mass index (BMI), is a measure of your body fat based on your height and weight. BMI is a good way to assess if your weight is healthy or unhealthy and of course, to get an idea of how much weight you might need to lose.

Remember though that although some of the excess weight may be down to body fat, some other factors such as how muscular you are, also affect BMI significantly – check your body fat percentage to help you find out how your BMI is made up.
